my story

Ive always been a missions girl. Traveling is my thing and foreign countries are my heart. Theres something about other languages and the brokenness of another country that just draws me. My first missions trip was in 3rd grade to Mexico, and since then Ive been to MANY different countries. The summer of 2011 I had the opportunity of a lifetime to go to Haiti. To be honest, I had NO idea what to expect. All I knew about Haiti was what most people know: earthquake. I knew that it was going to be an awesome trip and I knew I would have amazing opportunities to serve, but what I didnt know is that my life would be radically changed forever.

Through a few small missions trips over there, I quickly fell in love with this country. The food, the culture, the people, everything. I love it. I love the long skirts and v-necks. I love the hot weather and cold showers. I love no more iPhones and super shaky internet connection. Seriously, I could talk about it all day.

While serving and living in Haiti part-time right now, I am truly humbled and blown away that I am able to say there are long-term plans with me being in-country. Starting with a few short-term trips over, and ending the year with a more long-term plan.

More than anything, I would appreciate your support through prayer. To keep up with my crazy life and involvement in Haiti, keep checking back on my blog.
